Kitchen renovation step by step
A kitchen renovation project is usually performed in 8 steps:
- Preparation of the work plan (1 day): moving all appliances (refrigerator, oven, dishwasher) and existing kitchen tools.
- Demolition (~ 3 days): demolition of the various elements of your kitchen including the floor & walls (if applicable), and cleaning of all surfaces after demolition.
- Plumbing and electricity (~ 4 days): adjustment of the plumbing and electrical systems according to the plans of your new kitchen.
- Floors (1 day): if applicable, floor will be renovated with new tiles.
- Walls and ceiling (2 days): preparing walls and ceiling (plug holes, smoothen and clean surfaces) and applying 2 to 3 layers of paint on the walls and ceiling.
- Installation of the new kitchen items (~ 2 days): installing new countertops, cabinets, shelves, kitchen island and electrical fittings outlets, heating plates, oven & plumbing sink, dishwasher.
- Finishes and cleaning (1 day): completing latest finishes (paints, joints) and cleaning of the entire space.
- Delivery: final verification of the project with the client and the general contractor.
